Our reception staff are available each weekday from 8.00am to 5.00pm and Saturday mornings from 9am until 12 midday to take your phone calls.

Hamilton Doctors is accepting new patients and we ask you to bring 2 forms of identification to your first appointment with us.

Hamilton Doctors consult patients by appointment except in an emergency situation. We encourage our patients to book with their usual GP to ensure continuity of care. Hamilton Doctors accommodates our patients with urgent medical problems by providing a number of on the day appointments.

In an emergency we encourage our patients to phone the NSW Ambulance service on 000.

If you need an appointment on the same day be sure to let our staff know so that we can accommodate your medical needs appropriately. If it is not urgent please select a suitable non-urgent appointment time.

If you are unsure what type of appointment to make please ask our staff for assistance.


Please help us to manage our time by booking the appropriate length and type of appointment.

Hamilton Doctors encourages patient to book longer consultations where necessary to ensure you are given the appropriate time to discuss your health concerns.

  • Walk in appointments are available at times for emergencies.
    These will be triaged by our registered nurses.

  • Standard consultations last between 6 and 15 minutes.

  • Long consultations last between 15 and 30 minutes.


If your problem is complex or you have more than one problem please book a long appointment.

Our staff will contact you the day prior if you have made a long appointment to confirm it with you.

Telehealth appointments – Telehealth appointments are available at Hamilton Doctors.
Please call the surgery and administration staff can book you a telehealth appointment.

It is essential that you cancel an appointment you are unable to attend.
A missed appointment fee will be charged for appointments where you did not arrive.


On arrival please notify our reception staff you are here:

  • If you have severe pain, bleeding or difficulty breathing please inform our reception staff immediately

  • If you are unwell and unable to wait safely in our waiting room, please inform our reception staff who will accommodate your needs

  • If you think you may be contagious please inform our reception staff when booking your appointment to help us to manage your care appropriately

  • If you have a cough or are sneezing our reception staff may ask you to wear a mask. Tissues and water is available in our waiting room for your convenience

  • If you feel you have been waiting too long please do not hesitate to ask our reception staff

HOME VISITS

Hamilton Doctors are able to provide a limited home visit service at the discretion of the individual GP for those unable to attend for consultations at the surgery and requiring routine care.

These are usually reserved for the very frail elderly and infirm and are not intended to provide emergency or after hours care.
